Finnur is an Icelandic-qualified attorney with rights of audience before the Icelandic Supreme Court. Finnur has a doctorate in international investment law from the University of Vienna. He has worked as a lawyer since 2002, primarily in the fields of corporate and finance, and has significant experience in advising Icelandic and foreign clients on both domestic and cross-border transactions. Finnur has also advised financial institutions and government ministries on matters of EEA law and international investment. He is also an active academic, teaching at the law faculties of both the University of Iceland and Reykjavík University.
