Þórarinn is an attorney admitted to practise before the District Courts. Þórarinn has an extensive experience in the various fields of legal practice in the financial and business sector in Iceland and abroad, both in the private and public sector. Þórarinn deals with tasks in the field of banking and capital markets, corporate law, corporate and project finance, mergers and acquisitions and insolvency and financial restructuring.  Þórarinn has sat on the board of directors in various companies and has also participated in drafting laws and regulations in the financial sector. Þórarinn has been deemed fit and proper by the Icelandic FSA to hold a seat on the board of directors of a commercial bank. Prior to joining Drangi Þórarinn was a Managing Director at Kaupthing´s legal department where he was i.a responsible for legal work in the restructuring of Kaupthing through composition and subsequently the dual listing of Arion bank, Kaupthing´s subsidiary, on the OMX exchanges in Reykjavík and Stockholm. Þórarinn has worked at Juris since 2021.
